Zoo promises Gor Mahia a fight

Zoo FC head coach Herman Iswekha says his team will fight when they take on Gor Mahia in a Betking Premier League match on Wednesday afternoon at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.

Zoo suffered back to back defeats to Mathare United and Tusker FC. Gor Mahia on the other hand lost to Vihiga United on Saturday.

Ahead of the match, Iswekha says they will be looking to end the bad run against the reigning league champions.

“We are going to fight. Gor is a good team but I believe we have a chance if we plan well and execute the plan well. We are preparing to compete and hopefully, we get something out of the match,” he told BPL news.

Reflecting on his side’s back-to-back defeats, the long-serving gaffer said his side made mistakes against Mathare United and Tusker FC which they are keen on rectifying. He added that his side is also suffering due to inexperience in the team.

“ We made some mistakes in our last two matches which we are going to rectify, hopefully, my players will respond well against Gor. Inexperience partly cost us because we have young players who are playing in the top flight for the first time,” he added.

The match will kick off at 3pm.
