KCB head coach Zedekiah “Zico” Otieno has been named the BetKing Premier League (BPL) Coach of the Month for December.
The tactician was feted on Tuesday 16 February at the club’s training ground in Ruaraka, beating Kariobangi Sharks’ William Muluya to the award which is the first Coaches gong to be handed out this season.
Stellar start
Zico, who is in his second season with The Bankers, receives a KES 50,000 cash prize for his team’s stellar start to the campaign which saw them pick-up maximum points in the five games played in the month, to finish 2020 in first place on the standings.
Muluya came in second after leading his team to three wins and two draws in the month.
Last week, Elvis Rupia was named the best player for December thanks to his six goals in four games for AFC Leopards in the month.
