WILL KCB DELAY TUSKER’S march to the title?

A potential title deciding match lays in store when log leading Tusker FC take on second placed KCB FC in match day 25 of the BetKing Premier League fixture set to be staged at Thika Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Heading into the match, Robert Matano’s Tusker hold a four point buffer over the Bankers who sit second and will be looking to extend their gap at the top of the table even further with a fifth straight win on the spin.

The Brewers, who have a tough run of challenges in their title seeking quest, managed to see off the challenge of Gor Mahia in their last league fixture, defender Eugene Asike grabbing the last minute winnner to complete a morale boosting 2-1 turnaround.

Against the Bankers, Tusker will be looking to build on their ambition of getting a 12th league title by creating further daylight between them and the chasing pack before they face AFC Leopards in the next fixture.

Tusker will be buoyed by the fact that they have not tasted defeat against the Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno led team in the last five games, drawing three and winning two.
KCB on the other hand will be looking to prove a point to Tusker who pipped them to the precious continental CAF Champions League ticket that was up for grabs by 30th June.

The Bankers know very well they are still in contention for a maiden title in the top flight and a win would even bring them a step closer as they will only have one point between them and the log leaders.

Both clubs head into the match on the back of having not tasted defeat in the last four fixtures and that right there should provide grounds for an enthralling fixture.
