As teams race towards the June 30 deadline, the top four sides in the Betking Premier League (BPL) standings have some tough matches lined-up.
The league has taken a two week break and will resume on June 15 for two weeks of intense matches after which the leading team at the end of this month will have the honor to represent Kenya in the CAF Champions League.
Leaders, Tusker will have to dispatch off, Kariobangi Sharks, Posta Rangers and Western Stima to remain at the top of the log by June 30.
The brewers are enjoying top form after brushing aside Vihiga United 4-0 in their last match away.
Should Tusker win all their three matches, they will remain at the top of the log with 47points.
The question is, will Tusker collect maximum points? Second placed KCB will be hoping Tusker falters so they can overtake them. The bankers who lost 1-0 to Sofapaka to climb down from the top spot have to contend with Mathare United, Kakamega Homeboyz and Bidco United.
In total, KCB can collect 45 points which is quite impressive. But a critical look at the opponents shows that the bankers will have to give their all to collect all nine points on offer.
Mathare United are struggling against relegation and may just be the toughest side to play. Kakamega Homeboyz on the other hand have found their form and could be a hard nut to crack.
Bidco are still on high after a 3-1 win over AFC Leopards. Third placed AFC Leopards face Sofapaka, Wazito and Kariobangi Sharks in their quest to be at the top of the log.
Champions Gor Mahia who have been the most consistent team will play Sofapaka, Mathare United and Bandari. Gor Mahia will have 40 points should they win all their remaining matches.
