Wazito FC head Coach Francis Kimani says his side is improving following last Friday’s 3-1 win over Vihiga United in a Betking Premier League match staged at Utalii grounds.
Kimanzi’s side managed to recover from their opening day set back where they suffered a 4-0 defeat in the hands of Kariobangi Sharks to pick maximum points in their first home assignment.
Goals from Boniface Omondi, Dennis Ng’ang’a and Whyvonne Isuza ensured that Wazito bounced back immediately with a victory that helped them move from the foot of the table.
Speaking after the match, Kimanzi heaped praise on his players saying they showed hunger and resilience in the game.
“We are improving. We tried to work on the mistakes we made against Sharks and today you could see the hunger was there, they were very resilient as well. I think all the players showed the willingness to fight and for me, that is a very positive thing,” he stated.
The former Mathare United tactician however knows that his side is not a finished item just yet.
“We are building. I have been with the team for around two weeks and we have to continue building systematically. We will build on the positives we have and address our mistakes. I am confident that we will get even better,” he added.
Next for Kimanzi and his charges is an away match against Posta Rangers scheduled for Sunday 13th December.
