Wazito, Ulinzi play out barren draw at Kasarani

Wazito FC and Ulinzi Stars played to a 0-0 draw in one of the Match Day 4 fixtures staged at Kasarani Stadium on Saturday 19 December. It was a game of few chances as the two sides sought to get to winning ways following disappointing results in their past games.

Ulinzi Stars, playing their second game of the season, was hoping for a full haul of three points after falling 1-0 to Gor Mahia in the opening game, while Wazito were coming from a 0-0 draw with Posta Rangers.

Both sides made a change in their respective squads, Ulinzi Stars introducing Elvis Nandwa to the team in place of John Njuguna as Wazito rested Joshua Nyatini and Ali hassan Abondo took his place.

Very little would come in the way of goalmouth action in the game for the better part of the first half hour. In the 31st minute though, Enosh Ochieng should have changed things but he fluffed his lines and allowed Wazito keeper Fredrick Odhiambo to make a good save.

The next big chance would come in the 70th minute. As Ulinzi keeper James Saruni went down impressively to deny Whyvonne Isuza.

Wazito piled pressure in the closing stages and managed to win quite a good number of free kicks outside the box but that was all they could muster as the teams walked off dissatisfied at the result.
