Title-chasing Betking Premier League side, Wazito FC has bolstered its ranks with four new players.
Wazito, third in the BPL table is currently on a five-match winning streak and coach Francis Kimanzi has moved to bolster his playing unit.
Immediate former Sofapaka captain Eli Asieche has joined the Moneybags. Asieche has scored four and set up two goals so far this season. Nzoia Sugar forward Erick Otieno has also decamped to Wazito. Otieno has three goals to his name this campaign.
Widely traveled goalkeeper Levis Opiyo has also moved to Wazito from Gor Mahia and completing the list is former KCB left-back John Odhiambo.
“Wazito was an easy choice because it is a team with a good structure. I also have friends in the team and I felt that it would help me settle easily. I am here to create and score goals for the team. I am also excited to work with Coach Francis Kimanzi who understands me and I will give my best in Wazito colors,” Eli Asieche said in an interview with the club’s media.
The new signings could feature on Friday when Wazito takes on league leaders in a league match at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.
