The heavyweights ended the year with a 1-0 defeat in the hands of in-form KCB. Former Wazito FC striker scored the lone goal of the match in the second half to help the Bankers register a fifth straight win in the Betking Premier League.
Next for Wazito is a BPL match against a Nairobi City Stars side that has proved to be resilient since they got promoted back to the top tier. Ahead of the match, the Harambee Stars defender said his side has to bounce back immediately.
“It was disappointing to lose the game the way we did and we now have to show character by fighting back on Sunday. The match against KCB is now behind us and we now focus on rectifying the mistakes we made last week and address our weak areas before we play City Stars,” he told the club website on Friday afternoon.
The tough-tackling defender hinted that the match could be settled by small details and urged his teammates to minimize on the mistakes they make whilst capitalizing on the opponents’ slips.
“I believe we can get a good result on Sunday if we minimize our mistakes and capitalize on our opponents,” he added.
The match will kick off at 3PM.
