Wazito boss, Kimanzi happy with the team’s progress

Wazito FC head coach Francis Kimani believes his team is getting better by the day with the side currently sitting in 4th position in the Betking Premier League.

The moneybags are currently on a three-match winning streak and are firmly in the race for the title. This is despite suffering a 4-0 defeat to Kariobangi Sharks on the opening day of the season.

Kimanzi is happy with the work his boys are doing and he has heaped praise on his charges.

“We are now doing well. In terms of fitness and tactics, the players have adjusted well and at the moment we just focus on preparing for our opponents. I am happy with the steps that we’ve made in the last few weeks,” he stated.

Focusing on last weekend’s win over Bidco United, Kimanzi was full of praise for his players for showing a strong character coming from a goal down to win 2-1.

“It was a very good game, I loved the character of the team. Conceding an early goal means you have to change your initial game plan, they followed the ideas behind the difficulties we had and tried to implement the possibilities and that is a very good character,”Kimanzi said in his post-match interview.

Wazito will play Nzoia Sugar FC on Friday afternoon at the Kasarani Annex.
