Wadri’s late strike lifts Bandari over Rangers

A William Wadri strike with 12 minutes remaining on the clock secured all three points for Bandari FC as they beat Posta Rangers 1-0 on Sunday at the Mbaraki Sports Club in round 28 of the BetKing Premier League (BPL).

The Ugandan forward popped up with the all decisive goal in the 78th minute, weaving his way past the Rangers defence and notching up a sublime goal that lifts Andre Cassa Mbungo’s charges up to 7th on the standings with 40 points.

The win, Bandari’s fourth against Rangers in the topflight, also ensured their unbeaten run against the Mailmen continued to now 12 matches. You’ll have to go back 10 years to September of 2011 to find Rangers’ last win in this fixture.

The loss left Stanley Okumbi’s men in 13th place with 28 points.
