League hopefuls Tusker FC will be eyeing the scalp of relegation threatened Western Stima when the two sides clash in the first clash of a Betking Premier League (BPL) double header at Ruaraka Grounds on Wednesday.
Tusker come into the game knowing very well that a win against the Kisumu based side will take them to the top of the table once again, although temporarily.
But the main aim of going for a win that would complete the league double over Stima would be to heap pressure on current log leaders who are just one point ahead of the Brewers.
Robert Matano will also want his side to get back to back wins and maintain consistency that has many a time been missing from the team when needed the most.
The team will be hoping to draw some inspiration from the 5-2 thumping they staged at Moi Stadium in Kisumu when they travelled for the first leg clash.
Stima on the other hand will be desperate to take control of proceedings as they start to lurk dangerously in the drop zone dogfight. The task at hand is even made harder since it has been five years now since the powermen last managed a victory over their opponents.
But with a fully fit and an inspired squad at his disposal on any given day, Stima can cause all sorts of problems especially with their star man Barron Oketch who has been a handful in an number of games this season.
Tusker on the other hand will turn onto teenager Henry Meja to suppy the goals and add to his eight goal tally so far this season. One team will be fighting for honors while another is fighting for their top flight status.
