Tusker FC striker Henry Meja says he has not set any goals’ target for the season and wants to score as many as possible.
The Kenya u20 player who was recently called to the senior national team squad has so far scored 7 league goals for the league leaders who are currently in a good form in the Betking Premier League.
Despite being in electric form in the league, the Kakamega High School alumnus says he does not have a specific target for goals but wants to find the back of the net as many times as possible.
“I want to score as many as I can, I do not have any targets. I just want to see how far I can go. if I manage to score in each and every game that will make me happy,” he said.
Meja joined Tusker in January 2020 after sitting for his KCPE exams. His start to life at the Ruaraka based side was tough as he was behind Timothy Otieno, David Majak and Chris Ochieng in the pecking order. Otieno has since left the club and the youngster has leapfrogged Majak and Ochieng in the pecking order.
He will have a chance to add to his tally on Tuesday afternoon when Tusker takes on Nzoia Sugar at Kasarani. The match will kick-off at 3 pm.
