TUSKER OUT TO EXTEND LEAD AS LEAGUE RESUMES

Leaders Tusker take on Posta Rangers as the Betking Premier League (BPL) resumes after a two week break.

Tusker coach Robert Matano has warned that his side will be going for nothing short of a win as they seek to remain at the top of the league by June 30.

“We now have to focus on the league after failing to win the Betway Cup. All our energies are now on winning the league,” he said.

In the last five meetings between these teams, Tusker have won three times and drawn twice.

Tusker are currently leading the league by two points and will know a win will put them on the driving seat of representing Kenya in the CAF champions league.

They have won twice and drawn thrice in the last five but the manner of their victory in their last league game will give them confidence heading into this game. Henry Meja who scored a brace in the reverse fixture will hope to net again as he chases the golden boot.

Rangers have only won thrice with the majority of their outcomes being draws and will have to be at their best to match Tusker. They have won twice, drawn twice and lost once and will need to be at their best to get anything out of this clash with the league leaders.
