Tusker coach Robert Matano has hailed his players after last weekend’s 4-0 win over Vihiga United in a Betking Premier League (BPL) match at Mumias Complex.

The win pushed Tusker to the top of the log with 38 points and put them inline to win the title.

Matano told the club’s website he is proud of his players for showing a huge response after back to back draws since the restart of the league.

“I am really proud of the team because we played really well. After the first two matches where we struggled, now we have some fitness. We have come up very well because of the way we have been training and we have done a lot of finishing now we have seen the results with four goals,” the coach said.

Matano said the massive victory is a huge motivation for the team ahead of the rest of the season and has asked his charges not to let their guard down but keep on working to get even better results.

“This is high motivation for us as a team. In the first game we didn’t score a goal, in the second game we scored one and now we have four. It shows great progress for us and some very big improvement. This is momentum that we want to keep and move up from here,” the tactician further stated.
