Tale of missed chances sees Mathare share spoils with Bandari

Mathare United and Bandari FC both played to a 0-0 draw in a BetKing Premier League (BPL) round 9 fixture played at the Kasarani Stadium on Friday 22 January.

The encounter was a tale of missed chances with both teams missing glorious opportunities to score and possibly carry the day.

In particular the crossbar and keeper Justin Ndikumana came to the rescue for the Dockers who also struck the woodwork twice, most importantly in the final minutes of the 90 when striker Yema Mwana missed a glorious chance to snatch a win.

The point earned isn’t enough to lift Mathare out of the relegation zone as they remain second from bottom with four points from as many matches. Bandari on their part are boosted and move up one place into 5th with 13 points, five adrift of leaders KCB.
