Sofapaka captain Michael Kibwage believes their 1-0 win over KCB is a major confidence booster.
Kibwage says the win will inspire them to do even better in future matches considering it came on the back of two losses in a row.
“We had a decent match against the bankers, we were compact, defended well, and played according to instructions, I believe that was the difference on Saturday.
“We went into the match as underdogs but we knew what we wanted and am glad we won the encounter. The win is a huge confidence booster for us as a team that has seriously been lacking and we only want to build on it going forward,” he said.
The defender termed Lawrence Juma’s goal as a goal of the season contender.
“He Juma has been instrumental for us, he has scored crucial goals and his wonderful strike on Saturday only sums up a good season for him so far.”
Ken Odhiambo coached side will shift focus on Shield cup on Wednesday when they take Ulinzi Stars.
