Six matches lined up as BPL resumes

After a one-week break, the Betking Premier League resumes on Saturday with six week 6 matches scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Two matches are lined up for Saturday 2nd January. Kakamega Homeboyz will host Nzoia Sugar at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega while in Nairobi, unbeaten Kariobangi Sharks will play host to Ulinzi Stars at the MISC Kasarani.

On Sunday, Wazito FC will host Nairobi City Stars at Utalii Grounds while in Kasarani, Tusker will play host to a struggling Sofapaka side. Vihiga United will play Bidco United in Mumias while Bandari will host Western Stima at Mbaraki Sports Club.


The Mashemeji derby pitting Gor Mahia against AFC Leopards has been postponed owing to Gor Mahia’s involvement in the Caf Champions League.

Two matches will be televised this weekend by league broadcaster Startimes. The match between Sharks and Ulinzi Stars and the showdown between Tusker FC and Sofapaka will both be screened live.
