SHARKS FALL TO WAZITO AT UTALII

Two goals in either half of the game saw a struggling Wazito pile more misery on Kariobangi Sharks after winning 2-0 win in a Betking Premier League (BPL) match played at Utalii grounds on Wednesday afternoon.

Coming into the match without a win in the last five games and trailing in the league’s form table, Francis Kimanzi’s Wazito got in the game with only one ambition- win.

After eighteen minutes played, their purpose found some results after Musa Masika made a superb run on the right and floated in an inch perfect cross that veteran Kevin Kimani expertly guided the ball past a hapless Brandon Obiero in the Sharks goal, a lead they would hold onto until the first half interval.

In the second half, Kimani turned provider when he floated in a good ball from a free kick that right back Rooney Onyango rose highest to thunder in for Wazito’s second to give them some cushion.

Try as they may, Sharks could not get them into the match as resolute defending from Wazito thwarted any danger posed by the William Muluya side.

Ultimately, Wazito maintained their two goal advantage to see off the game and grab all the three points that gave them a first win after a streak of five winless games.

Sharks’ miseries were further compounded with a third consecutive loss in three games. They are now eight points off the pace on 31 points as Wazito stayed 10th on 26 points.
