Posta Rangers ran out 3-0 winners over hosts Nzoia Sugar FC at the Sudi Stadium in a round 5 FKF PL match played from 1 pm.
Goals from Brian Marita and substitutes Eluid Lokuwam and Francis Nambute saw the mailmen easily dispatch the sugar millers on a rainy afternoon at the the sugar factory.
The hosts, already plagued by injuries heading into the clash, suffered a scare when left-back Vincent Mahiga went down from a knock against Timothy Otieno. He would hop back onto the field after being attended to. Having already threatened the Nzoia backline once, Brian Marita showed up once more in the 5th minute with a half volley into the top left corner. Humphrey Katasi in goal for the sugar millers stood not chance.
Nzoia responded by pushing numbers upfront and Gaetan Masha would see his cross blocked by David Ochieng.
The visitors kept the 1-0 lead at half time.
Second half began with a double change as Stanley Okumbi threw in Eliud Lokuwam and Francis Nambute. Timothy Otieno and Caleb Olilo would be rested.
This proved inspired as Lokuwam latched onto a Vincent Wasambo through ball on 58 minutes to make it 2-0 at he now rain soaked Sudi.
Only ten minutes were left to play when Nambute further stretched the game away from the hosts with a stunning volley just outside the box. Nzoia had a late penalty shout when Hassan Beja was brought down in the box but this came to naught as the center referee David Mulongo waved play on.
The mailmen went home with a bag full of three goals and three points.
