Tusker FC defender Rodgers Aloro says his team is reaping from the hard work that they have been doing in training in the last few weeks.
The Brewers have picked three wins in a row and in the process moved to second position in the Betking Premier League table with 10 points.
They managed to turn around things after losing to AFC Leopards in the opening game of the season and settling for a barren draw against Bandari. This Aloro has attributed to the shift they have been putting in the training.
“It feels good, we tried so hard. We have been training as a team I think we are yielding from what we have been doing during training sessions. They are turning to victories,” he said in an interview with the club media.
Tusker defeated Vihiga United by a solitary goal on Sunday afternoon in Kasarani and the Ugandan has revealed how they defeated the hard-fighting BPL returnees.
“They (Vihiga) came out fighting but I think with their hard fighting and running all over the place we kept the ball better in the second half and we managed to open the spaces and got the goal,” he added.
The former Sofapaka man has blamed the opening day defeat to AFC Leopards on lack of cohesion as they were not training well before the match.
“It is a good run, I think the first loss we got we were not training well, we were not training together as a team but right now the cohesion is there and we are doing well,” he concluded.
