OUNA says more still needs to be done

Mathare United coach Frank Ouna has told his players not to focus on Wednesday’s Betking Premier League (BPL) win over AFC Leopards at Ruaraka grounds.

The slum boys picked only their second win of the season but still remain rooted at the bottom of the log. It was Ouna’s first win in five matches since he was hired to replace Salim Ali.

“The win was long overdue and has lightened the load just a little bit, but there is no time to dwell on it as we have a long way to go,” he told the club’s social media pages.

He praised his players for the hard fought win and was also delighted that they did not concede a goal.

“Everyone fought to get the three points and it feels even much sweeter because of the clean sheet. “It is however water under the bridge now and if we want it to mean anything then we have to win our next game.”
