Sammy Omollo will be incharge for the first time on Saturday when Gor Mahia takes on City Star’s in this Betking Premier League match at Ruaraka ground.
Omollo was named stand in coach after Van Pinto quit the club last week to return home.
City Stars have not been lucky against their opponents and in the last five games between them, they have drawn once and lost four times.
They have lost only once in their last five games and the ten points they have gained in that period place them third on the form rankings. They are only three points adrift of their opponents and a win will see them go above them on goal difference.
The first order of business for the new coach will be to find the winning form they had from May to mid-June since they have lost two and drawn two in their last four games.
They will face an inform side knowing defeat will only complicate their chances of defending the title.
They will also hope the capture of Kenneth Muguna by Tanzanian club Azam will not distract him as he remains their chief playmaker with nine assists so far.
