Nzoia Sugar FC have opted for the services of Ibrahim Shikanda after six rounds of the BetKing Premier League and former interim coach Sylvester Mulukurwa will now act as deputy head coach.
Announcing this today, the sugar millers who sit 12th on the league standings, welcomed the former Nairobi Stima man.
”We have appointed Ibrahim Shikanda as our new Head Coach. Shikanda will now be deputized by Sylvester Mulukurwa who has been serving as the interim Coach,” reads part of the statement.
Nzoia, who welcome Western Stima in their next tie, are yet to win a match and pressure will be on the new coach to deliver with his first match. Their most recent outing was a barren stalemate against Kakamega Homeboyz FC in Bukhungu, a fixture they haven’t fared well in from the recent meetings.
Ibrahim shikanda has previously handled second tier side Nairobi Stima and was an assistant at Bandari FC.
