The 2021/22 FKFPL season begins on September 25th slightly a month after the conclusion of the previous season.
Before the league games begin, there will be the season curtain raiser where defending champions Tusker will face FKF Cup winners Gor Mahia on September 22 at the Thika Stadium in the 3pm kick-off.
The league will break for ten days on the 19th of December to pave way for the Christmas period festivities and resume on the 29th of December. The league will end when the final rounds of matches are played on 11th June 2022.
The opening fixtures of the season will have top of the table clashes with Gor Mahia facing KCB at Kasarani in game-week one.
The following day will see Tusker face AFC Leopards at Nyayo Stadium as the brewers seek another title.
Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards have quite challenging games in their first five fixtures where Gor will face KCB, Kariobangi Sharks, AFC Leopards on the Mashemeji derby on 20th October, Ulinzi Stars and Sofapaka.
AFC Leopards have a more difficult run-on paper that will see them face Tusker, KCB, Gor Mahia, Bandari and Ulinzi Stars.
Talanta who are making their maiden appearance in the league will undergo a baptism of fire as they face Tusker, KCB and Bandari, clubs that finished in the top three last season in their first five games of the season while KCB’s first two games will see them face Gor Mahia and KCB.
