Anthony “Modo” Kimani has on Saturday 27 February been unveiled as an assistant at BetKing Premier League (BPL) side Bandari FC.
The youthful tactician pens a one-year deal with the Coastal outfit with an option to renew and now links up with head coach Andre Cassa Mbungo who he also served under in the same capacity when they two were at AFC Leopards.
Kimani left his role as interim head coach of AFC Leopards earlier this month after the Ingwe hierarchy decided against handing him the job outright by appointing Belgian Patrick Aussems instead.
Kimani and Mbungo worked together at AFC Leopards in 2019 before the financial difficulties experienced at the club forced the Rwandese national to leave before the conclusion of the 2019/20 season.
A former Kenyan international, Kimani joins a Bandari side currently in fourth place on the standings tied on 22 points with third placed Leopards.
