Kimanzi not underrating struggling Western Stima

Wazito FC head coach Francis Kimanzi says his side cannot afford to underrate Western Stima ahead of his side’s league match against the Power-men on Saturday afternoon in Kisumu.

Stima is currently in the danger zone in the Betking Premier League with just one win and a couple of draws to their name. The team is 17th in the log with eight points after 14 rounds of BPL matches.

Wazito on their other hand are currently on good form in the league. They sit 6th in the log with 24 points after the 13th round and they could move up to second if they beat Stima and other results go their way.

Speaking ahead of the showdown at Moi Stadium in Kisumu, Kimanzi labeled Stima a good side despite the rough run the team is currently in.

“There’s no weaker team in a competition. They (Stima) are a good side, they have a lot of talented players in the team, they are also ready. I know that they have been preparing well. The only difference is that they have lesser points than us but that does not make them a weaker team because they are also very organized,” he said.

Kimanzi also expressed fears that the Juma Abdallah coached side could surprise his side by how they approach the 3 pm kick-off clash.

“I expect a tough match and they can surprise us again with their match approach. We will try our best but there is no weaker team in any competition,” he added.

The two teams have met twice in the BPL. Wazito have won one of the matches with the other ending in a barren draw.
