Veteran KCB defender Dennis Odhiambo says they are not thinking about winning the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) title but will focus on one match at a time.
The bankers have had an impressive start to the season and are currently second on the log with 30 points making them one of the title contenders.
“Of course the bigger picture remains to win the league but we are not thinking about it. Our focus is on each match. Obviously if you win your matches, then the chances of winning the league increase,” he said.
Odhiambo expressed his delight and that of his team-mates to be back in training and competition.
“Everybody had missed training and the excitement is pulpable though the we have lost the momentum we had before the league was suspended. The biggest concern is that we will not have enough time to be fit but this affects all teams.
“The fact is all teams are starting from zero so no one has an advantage.”
Odhiambo joined the bankers last season after a stint with Sofapaka. He was also in the Harambee Stars squad that played in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt.
