Kariobangi Sharks and Nzoia Sugar battle it out in Friday’s Football Kenya Federation Premier League match at Thika Stadium.
History favors Sharks who have never lost to their opponents, winning five and drawing thrice in their eight meetings.
They have been poor in the last three games, losing all of them while conceding a staggering ten goals in the process and will have to be at their best to avoid a similar result in the ground where their opponents are hard to beat.
Despite fierce competition between the teams around them, Sharks are still within finishing in the top five positions but will have to work hard to keep out a resurgent Nzoia Sugar.
The reverse fixture ended in a barren draw and Eric Kapaito will hope to add to his goal tally as he has not scored in those three consecutive games they have lost.
Nzoia Sugar will remain in the league for the next season thanks to their improved run of form in their last five games where they have only lost once. They will hope to punish the Shark’s defense which has looked shaky of late.
Hillary Simiyu has found the net in three of the last four games, scoring four goals and will relish the chance of adding to his tally as they face the fourth worst defense in the league.
