When the current Betking Premier League (BPL) season started, Kariobangi Sharks striker Eric Kapaito had a target to score 16 goals.
After all, the previous he had scored 14 goals in the league. With nine matches to go, Kapaito has netted 18 times and says he is eying to reach 20 goals by the end of the season.
“Anything is possible. After all my target was to score just 16 goals this season but Iam already at 18. I want to make it more than 20 and with nine more matches to go, it is possible,” he said in an interview.
The Sharks forward could have even more goals but had a rough patch at some point in the season where he went many matches without scoring but he did not let that take his eyes off the target.
“It is normal to hit a rough patch and this is not the first time it is happening to me. I have experienced the same situation before and the most important thing is to come out of it which I did.
“This is behind me now and I look forward to add more goals in the remaining matches,” he added.
Kapaito netted a brace on Monday as his side threw away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 against Western Stima in Thika.
