Kapaito double sinks Sofapaka in Wundanyi

Eric Kapito scored twice, with a goal in each half, against Sofapaka FC on Saturday 19 December to help secure a 2-1 victory for Kariobangi Sharks in a BetKing Premier League (BPL) Round 4 fixture played at the Wundanyi Stadium in Taita.

The Sharks forward netted his fourth and fifth goals of the season in the 38th and 63rd minutes to overturn a perfect start for Sofa that had seen them take the lead as early as the 4th minute through Elli Asieche’s penalty.

Winning ways

The result has William Muluya’s men return to winning ways after drawing their last two fixtures and now move up to 3rd on the log with eight points, four adrift of the summit.

For Sofa, the loss is their third of the season and having fired coach John Baraza earlier in the week, it proves that more has to be done by interim coach Mike Mururi so as to put a halt to this unconvincing start to the season, as now only goal difference separates them with the bottom three teams.
