Sofapaka hosts Kakamega Homeboyz in round 28 of the Betking Premier League (BPL) fixture on Sunday.
Hosts Sofapaka will be hoping to end their three match winless streak when they take on an-inform Kakamega Homeboyz side in Wundanyi.
The two teams come from a weekend of dropped points. Batoto BaMungu dropped crucial points against Posta Rangers in the dying moments of their last clash and so did Kakamega Homeboyz.
The Kakamega-based team went down 1-0 to Wazito in the closing stages of their match last weekend.
Despite going down against Wazito, Homeboyz is currently the most on form league side and will be seeking to get back to winning ways however they face the unpredictable Sofapaka side who have been blowing hot and cold.
Ahead of their thirteenth league meeting, Ken Odhiambo coached side has been the better side having won four of the fixtures, Homeboyz won three while the remaining five ended in a stalemate.
In the reverse fixture just before sporting activities were suspended in the country, Nicholas Muyoti men emerged 1-0 winners courtesy of a goal by Nigerian forward Alex Opoku.
Shami Kibwana’s goal-scoring form will be key for Homeboyz while Sofapaka will be delighted to have Lawrence Juma back after serving a one-match suspension. Juma who’s arguably having a decent season will be central in Sofapaka’s quest to end a poor run of results.
