Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) take on Gor Mahia on Sunday in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) match hoping to return to the top of the log.
With the league going into the penultimate stage and with pressure mounting after Tusker’s win on Saturday, KCB finds themselves in a precarious state in a must-win match.
The Bankers are a point adrift from the summit and will be keen to dislodge Tusker FC who beat Sofapaka on Saturday to reclaim the top spot.
KCB one of the most informed teams currently will hope their resurgence after a poor start of the second leg will propel them past K’Ogalo who have been deep off form.
However, facing Gor Mahia won’t be an easy walk in the park for the bankers.
Gor Mahia head into the match from a morale-boosting win over Kakamega Homeboyz last weekend that put an end to their losing streak.
Despite the win last weekend, Gor Mahia have not had a good season and with the title chase long gone a win today will have them gear towards finishing the league respectable position.
In an entertaining reverse fixture staged at Moi Kasarani Stadium, the bankers whipped K’ogalo 2-0 courtesy of David Simiyu and Victor Omondi.
