Resurgent Nairobi City Stars will be looking to continue with their second half charge in the secomd half of the season when they take on relegation threatened Western Stima at Ruaraka in their BetKing Premier League (BPL) match.
Since the league resumed, City Stars have overcome their narrow 1-0 defeat against Gor Mahia with two consecutive and convincing victories against Sofapaka and Kariobangi Sharks and will want to make it a third against a Stima side that has not won any of their last four games.
On the flipside, Stima, who have struggled to get going under head coach Abdalla Juma, will be hoping to walk away with all three points in a fixture that has been kind to them in the last five meetings.
Four of those matches have seen the powermen bag all three points, memories and performances they would want to replicate to further move away from the relegation territory where they are just one point ahead.
City Stars however are taking it one game at a time, currently sitting 9th on the table, the club seemed to have endured a storm that threatened to derail their season back in the top flight. But after some steadying, the club appears back on the right course. With a win the club can jump upto seventh om the league standings, enough motivation to go for the points.
Simba wa Nairobi will once again hope that veteran Peter ‘Pinchez’ Opiyo will be in the same inspired form that has seen him score two goals in his last two matches.
