Nairobi City Stars beat Vihiga Bullets 4-0 to move up to second place in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) league.
After an opening day loss, City Stars have now won four and drawn one in the five subsequent matches since then and the heavy win means they are the top scorers in the league so far with thirteen goals.
Vihiga Bullets nightmare start to the season continued with their fifth consecutive defeat here with the sixteen goals concede the worst in the league.
City Stars were the first to score after Anthony Kimani delivered a free kick in the box that evaded the Vihiga Bullets defenders and found Salim Abdallah at the back post for the tap in.
They almost added another after Kevin Okumu did well to get past Philip Mwangale and he delivered a wonderful cross for the onrushing Ezekiel Odera but the ball was cleared to avert any danger.
Vihiga Bullets then slowly started keeping hold of the ball as they grew more adventurous but it was City Stars who had the better chance to add to their lead after Timothy Ouma played a lovely ball in the area and Vihiga Keeper Richard Aimo failed to hold on to the ball and Oliver Maloba chipped his effort which went wide with the keeper already beaten.
Bullets then had a better start to the second period than the first, with Rashid Kyambadde making a stinging effort towards goal but Jacob Osano went down on time to save it.
City Stars soon added another after Ouma weaved his magic in the box to David Agesa who teed up Odera to double his sides lead.
Six minutes later, Bullets failed to clear a seemingly harmless ball in their area and captain Kimani was at hand to tuck in their third goal of the game.
Things became even better for Nairobi City Stars who added gloss to the score line, this time Vincent Otieno slotting the ball past Aimo to consign Bullets to their second 4-0 loss of the season.
