BANDARI SINK KARIOBANGI SHARKS AT HOME

Kariobangi Sharks suffered their biggest loss of the Betking Premier League (BPL) after going down 4-1 to Bandari at Mbaraki Sports club on Friday.

The dockers were quick off the blocks in the 19th minute when Umar Kasumba’s diving header beat Brandon Obiero in goal.

Sharks were going into the match on the back of a five match loss and struggled to contain their opponents. After the first water-break, they were two goals down this time from a penalty converted by William Wadri.

The move was initiated by Kasumba who was having a great time. He picked a loose ball in the Sharks area, beat his marker and picked out Keegan Ndemi who went down from a bad tackle and the referee did not hesitate to point at the penalty spot.

Wadri made no mistake from the spot sending Sharks goalkeeper the wrong way and gave Bandari a two goal cushion even before the first half break.

In a match that was a bit physical it was not a surprise that Sharks got themselves a penalty coming in the 47th minute. The league’s top scorer Eric Kapaito made no mistake and converted.

That in itself must have been a big deal for Kapaito who last scored a goal two months ago and his lack of goals has directly been proportional to Shark’s winless streak.

Not wanting to lose their advantage, the dockers restored their two goal advantage in the 54th minute this time through Benjamin Mosha as he converted a ball that Patilla Omoto failed to clear.

He was to grab his second of the match minutes later this time from a perfect header.
