Betking Premier League side, AFC Leopards have announced the signing of Tedian Esilaba from Nairobi City Stars for an undisclosed period of time.
Esilaba, a central defender has previously turned out for Bidco United and Administration Police FC before landing at the den.
“AFC Leopards announces the signing of central defender Tedian Esilaba. Esilaba previously featured for Nairobi City Stars and helped them win promotion to the Premier League. He has also played for Administration Police FC and Bidco FC,” read part of the statement posted by Ingwe.
Esilaba who had been training with Leopards for weeks before finally getting unveiled expressed his delight at moving to the den. He vowed to fight for his place in the team.
“I am happy and humbled to join AFC Leopards as it means a lot to my career. AFC Leopards is a great club and a great platform for my career. I feel it’s the right time for me to join the club at the moment I’m ready and focused on the task ahead. I’m ready to fight for my space in the starting team,” he added.
At Leopards, we will have to fight for a starting place in the team with the likes of Robinson Kamura who is the club captain, Clyde Senaji who is naturally a midfielder but has since settled at the back. Collins Shichenje who alternates from midfield and defense and forgotten man Robert Mudenyu.
He becomes Coach Patrick Aussems’ first signing. The Belgian tactician was appointed Ingwe coach last week.
